Wellness

A house that restores those who live in it.

Wellness begins with the architecture: daylight, fresh air, acoustic calm and the presence of water and green. Spa, pool and gym are then shaped as places of ritual rather than rooms of equipment.

Before any spa is drawn, the house itself should restore you. Bedrooms are oriented for gentle morning light and deep evening shade. Cross-ventilation and courtyards keep air moving, so that windows can open in the cooler hours. Walls, floors and ceilings are detailed for acoustic calm, keeping mechanical plant and the street at a distance. These are quiet decisions, but they shape how well a family sleeps, works and recovers every day.

Water is treated as a ritual. A stone bath beneath a skylight, a steam room lined in a single material, a cold plunge beside a shaded terrace: each is planned for how it will be used, and when. Pools are designed for swimming as well as for looking at, with careful attention to depth, edge detail and the reflection of the sky. Every pool is commissioned and inspected before handover.

Movement and stillness are given room. A gym can open onto the garden rather than hide in a basement; a yoga or prayer room can be placed where the morning is quietest. Treatment rooms, changing areas and laundry are planned so that the experience feels unhurried for family and guests alike. The garden completes it: shaded walks, fragrant planting and the sound of water within reach of the house.
