Interiors
Rooms composed around the life lived within them.
Interiors conceived with the architecture, not applied to it. Materials, joinery, lighting and furniture are resolved as one composition, detailed to the millimetre and proven at full size before anything is made.
An interior begins long before the first swatch. We study how each room will be used at breakfast, at dusk and on the evening of a family celebration, and how people will move between them. From there we set a restrained palette of stone, timber, plaster, metal and textile, chosen for how it ages as much as for how it looks on the day of handover. Quiet rooms are allowed to stay quiet; formal rooms are given their ceremony.
Joinery is where a house reveals its care. Wardrobes, kitchens, libraries and wall panelling are drawn in detail, with grain direction, shadow gaps and ironmongery specified for each piece. Major custom items are inspected at the workshop before they leave, and critical rooms are tested through full-size mock-ups, so that you can stand in a corner of the dressing room or touch the edge of a vanity before it is committed to.
Lighting is designed with the interior rather than added to it: layered, warm in colour temperature and hidden wherever possible, so that surfaces glow rather than glare. Acoustic comfort is considered in every principal room, and switch heights, socket positions and door swings are checked against the way you live. Furniture, art placement and soft furnishings can be curated with you, completing rooms that feel settled from the very first night.
